Situated in the village of Woodlands with easy access from Junctions 1,2 and 3 on the M27. It is ideally situated for exploring the wonderful New Forest, on foot, by bike or by car, being only 3 miles from Lyndhurst, the "capital" of the new Forest. As well as the New Forest on the doorstep, with its wealth of attractions, the historic Portsmouth Dockyards, Winchester, Salisbury, Romsey for the Test Valley, Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight are all within easy reach for day visits. The waterfront city of Southampton, where there is a main line station, theatre and large shopping complex, is 6 miles away. There is a good selection of pubs and takeaways in the area if cooking is not high on your holiday agenda!
The self-contained holiday annexe has off road parking and a south facing sun trap garden. Private entrance is via a garden path and patio, which opens into a spacious bedroom with King size bed. There is also a large open plan living/dining room with sofa bed and archway to a well equipped kitchen. A small hallway leads to a modern bathroom with shower / bath.

Have a Car Free Break:-
By Train:- We are only about 1 mile from Ashurst New Forest Station. Bikes can be brought on the hourly SW train service from London or we can pick up pedestrians from the station. For exploring, the same train can be used for trips to Winchester, Brockenhurst, Lymington and Isle of Wight connections, Bournemouth and Weymouth.
By Bus:- There is a bus stop close to the house for buses originating from Southampton. It can also be used for transport into Totton for groceries etc. or to catch buses to elsewhere. There is a bus stop near Ashurst Station which heads to Lyndhurst and beyond.
We can take in a Supermarket grocery delivery if ordered for the day of your arrival. The local pub is within walking distance, offering simple home cooked food. There are also two hotels close by which can offer alternative dining for "special occasions".

How to find us:-
South from J.2 on the M27, travel for about 2 miles along the Totton ring road. Turn right at the 2nd roundabout towards Netley Marsh and left into Woodlands Road. You will find us about 1 mile along the road situated on the right hand side of the second Z bend. If you pass Hotel TerraVina on the left then you have just missed us!
From Lyndhurst on the A35, turn left into Woodlands Road, signposted Woodlands. Travel about 1 mile to a T junction and turn right. You will find us on the left hand side of the Z bend about 200yds from the cattle grid, just after passing Hotel TerraVina on the right.
East from J.1 on the M27, turn right into Bourne Road, signposted Woodlands and follow the road for about 1 mile. After crossing the 2nd cattle grid you will find us on the left hand side of the Z bend, just after passing Hotel TerraVina on the right.
